“To have something” in Tagalog: Drills
Welcome back! In this video, we’ll practice the pattern to have something in Tagalog.
May susi’ ang doktor. – The doctor has a key.
Merong kotse ang doktor.
– The doctor has a car.
Maraming kaibigan ang doktor. – The doctor has many friends.
Walang bisikleta ang doktor. – The doctor doesn’t have a bicycle.
Now with si Jen.
May susi’ si Jen.
– Jen has a key.
Merong kotse si Jen.
– Jen has a car.
Maraming kaibigan si Jen – Jen has many friends.
Walang bisikleta si Jen. – Jen has no bicycle.
And finally with iyon.
May susi’ iyon.
– That (person) has a key. In English you’d use he or she
to say this.
Merong kotse iyon.
– That (person) has a car.
Maraming kaibigan iyon.
– That (person) has many friends.
Walang bisikleta iyon. – That (person) has no bicycle.
