that dog (far from you and me)

ang mga asong ito,

itong mga asong ito

these dogs (near me)

ang mga asong iyan,

iyang mga asong iyan

those dogs (near you)

ang mga asong iyon,

iyong mga asong iyon

those dogs (far from you and me)


1. Na/-ng (p. 28) is used to link ito/iyan/iyon with the noun.

2. The second ito/iyan/iyon may be dropped when more information about the noun is given right after it. Example:

itong asong malaki at mabait

this big and friendly dog
