Tagalog Affixed and Unaffixed Adjectives

Some adjectives don’t have an affix while others do.

Examples of unaffixed adjectives:

gutom

hungry

busog

full (having eaten enough)

pangit

ugly, undesirable

Examples of adjectives made up of a root and an affix:

maganda

pretty

malaki

big

palaaway

quarrelsome
